ITALIAN SLATE Genoese |

The use of the triple “Genoese” covering in the Ligurian architecture dates back to ancient time. The tiles have a minimum thickness of 5 mm. and they have a triple overlapping. They are fixed directly on boarding or concrete filling, using cementing mortar and nails. This type of covering is not suitable for climate with sudden rise/fall in temperature in fact, over the years, the consequent expansion and reduction of the laying surfaces could cause water infiltrations. The "Triple or abbots of the Genoese" cover is classical in architecture in Liguria, and has been going on for centuries.
Fixing : zinc-coated nails, cementing mortar and concrete Laying system: on boarding or concrete filling Increasing the overlapping you can get slighter slope. |
