ITALIAN SLATE

French covering

simplfr4

The “French” covering is the cheapest one because  it Is the lightest  but there is  the disadvantage of a difficult intechangeability of tiles.

It is different from the “French with hooks”  for the fixing: the tiles are fixed by zinc-coated iron nails.

This roof covering, very used in France, is characterized by a vision of diagonal and parallel lines running  from the ridge tiles to the eaves and crossing with each other.
